The Iowa Western Community College’s Entrepreneurial Center, in partnership with the Iowa Western Small Business Development Center (SBDC), offers comprehensive resources to assist entrepreneurs across all industries start, grow or exit their businesses. The E-Center provides free hands-on business counseling, mentoring and low-cost training, including assistance with:

• Market research
• Marketing plans, materials and graphic design
• Website building and optimization
• Financial analysis and cash flows
• Government procurement and regulations compliance
• Information technology
• Loan application assistance
• Smart Start and other business-related courses
The Entrepreneurial Center actively promotes entrepreneurial development throughout Southwest Iowa. The E-Center supports area entrepreneurs and student business ventures, raises public awareness about the vital role entrepreneurs play in economic development and stability, and creates an educational environment that encourages entrepreneurial thinking at all levels.
Our specific objectives center on three areas: community empowerment, entrepreneurial coaching and entrepreneurial education. Our community-based E-Powerment initiative, now being implemented in Mills County, combines efforts in each of our three focus areas to enhance and support entrepreneurship across Southwest Iowa.
